Rob Frampton serves as the Fire Chief of the Salisbury, Maryland Fire Department (SFD), where he has dedicated more than 26 years of service. Rising through the ranks, he was appointed Fire Chief in December 2023.
Chief Frampton holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Salisbury University and a Master of Science in Emergency Health Services from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He is a graduate of the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program and the Leadership Maryland program. He has also been a licensed paramedic since 2002.
In addition to his operational leadership, Chief Frampton is a published author and has presented at international conferences. He has served for more than a decade as Treasurer of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) Company Officers Section.
Chief Frampton is committed to continuous professional development and advancing initiatives focused on cancer reduction, as well as the overall health, safety, and well-being of fire service personnel.
He earned his Chief Fire Officer Designation in 2021.
